The Future of Media

Here's a good special article from Popular Mechanics on the shift in content creation which will inevitably marginalize the Hollywood hype machine.

I strongly believe in the concept of bringing the content creator and the viewer closer together, and eliminating the bulk in the middle that is distribution and promotion. This will allow the content to speak for itself, and put the financial rewards more directly to the creators.

It will be a long road of paradigm shifts, technology developments and changing consumer attitudes, but it will happen eventually.

Let the content speak for itself.

The only movies I've been making lately is of 1550nm light passing through waveguides. No exactly "Sundance" material.
When I was young I used to walk around the house while looking through an empty toilet paper roll and pretending I was making a movie. Fun!
